Stalking Tortoise BIO

Jeff is a Plastics Manufacturing Engineer and resides amongst the infamous Rocks of Pennsylvania with his wife, daughter, son and German shorthair pointer.  When he’s not hiking, he’s spending time bird hunting and riding bicycles or motorcycles.  Hiking highlights include Yosemite National Park, an ascent of Katahdin with a traverse of the Knife Edge between Pamola and Baxter Peaks, and hiking the Kalalau Trail on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

His trail name was given during his first section hike after he recognized and identified the first hiker of the morning from an on-line journal.  His hiking partners called him a Trail Stalker and merged that title with his slow-but-steady hiking pace to create “Stalking Tortoise”.
